On October 28, 2023, with the theme "R&G's Ideals Are Higher Than the Sky", the grand celebration of R&G's 15th anniversary of establishment and the first anniversary of its listing was held solemnly at the main venue in Beijing, and at sixteen branch venues in Shanghai, Wuhan, Shenyang, Zhengzhou, Nanjing, Changchun, Changsha, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Harbin, Suzhou, Maryland, and New Jersey. Mr. Wu Jie, Chairman and CEO of R&G, Mr. Lin Wei, Assistant District Mayor of Tongzhou District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Dr. Chen Gang, Chief Scientific Officer, Professor Hu Bei, Clinical Pharmacologist, Dr. He Kun, Chief Statistician, the senior management team, and special guests attended the main venue in Beijing along with nearly 700 employees who have worked at R&G for more than 5 years, and more than 1,300 people at various branch venues, totaling over 2,000 people, to witness this extraordinary historic moment of R&G.
Leaders and Guests Address Session
Before the opening of the celebration, Dr. Teng Leyan, R&G's co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, delivered the opening speech on behalf of the founders. In her speech, Dr. Teng reviewed the mental journey from the initial stages of entrepreneurship to the company's successful listing. She emotionally remarked, "R&G has grown from a four-person startup team to a public company with over 2,000 employees through fifteen years of unremitting efforts. Looking back on these fifteen years, countless memories well up in our hearts. How many fifteen years are there in a lifetime? How many fifteen years are there in youth? Whether fifteen years is long or short, we do not know, but what we do know is that we have come this far because of the support of our ideals. When facing challenges and difficulties, we never shrink back, never give up; ideals are R&G's lighthouse!"
Subsequently, Dr. Chen Gang, Chief Scientific Officer of R&G, solemnly announced the official commencement of the "R&G 15th Anniversary of Founding and First Anniversary of Listing Celebration" event.
Mr. Wang Wei, R&G's golden host, co-founder, and Senior Vice President, along with special guest host Ms. Lin Qian, made a dazzling appearance.
Mr. Lin Wei, Assistant District Mayor of Tongzhou District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, delivered a speech at the celebration event for R&G's 15th anniversary of establishment and 1st anniversary of listing, wishing R&G to compose new chapters of development in the future and congratulating the successful conclusion of this celebration.
Dr. Chen Gang, Chief Scientific Officer of R&G, delivered a speech at the celebration event. In his speech, Dr. Chen Gang said: "Over the past fifteen years, R&G has persevered tirelessly to become a publicly listed company. This is an important milestone in R&G's development history; this is R&G's ideal. Solving the problems encountered by our clients in clinical R&D with scientific methods, reducing R&D risks, accelerating product market entry, and contributing to society and human health welfare—this remains R&G's ideal. R&G has made outstanding contributions to China's innovative drug development. As R&G's Chief Scientific Officer, I feel proud and honored."
Mr. Wu Jie, Chairman and CEO of R&G, delivered an enthusiastic and passionate speech. In his speech, he not only reviewed R&G's challenging development journey and impressive achievements but also expressed that we should remain grateful. We are grateful to the Tongzhou District People's Government for their support of R&G, to our esteemed clients for their recognition and trust in the company, to the vast community of shareholders for their love of R&G, to over two thousand beloved employees for their dedication, especially to the brothers and sisters who have fought alongside the company. We thank our families for their understanding and support, and we are thankful for this great era that provides a stage for entrepreneurs to strive!
At the celebration event, Lawyer Shi Tiejun from JunHe Law Firm, as a guest representative, and Mr. Zhang Yinqing from R&G's Administrative Department, as an employee representative, respectively shared interesting stories of experiencing ups and downs and growing together with R&G over the past decade or more.
An Array of Wonderful Performances
The performance segment of the celebration kicked off with the majestic dance "March of the Elephant King" presented by the team from R&G's subsidiary SMS Clinical Studys. The dance, combining strength and grace, not only showcased the grandeur and beauty of classical dance but also expressed R&G people's yearning and pursuit for a better life...
"High above the silvery ocean winds are gathering the storm-clouds, and between the clouds and ocean proudly wheels the Stormy Petrel, like a streak of sable lightning." This is Gorky's "Stormy Petrel", representing a noble spirit, which is also the spirit of R&G's scientists, recited under the leadership of Dr. Chen Gang, R&G's Chief Scientific Officer, and Professor Hu Bei, Chief Clinical Pharmacology Scientist.
"For thousands of miles forever flew, Washing the world and its view, In a murky current hitherto, Joy or sorrow, They don't tell which is false which is true, Conquest or foil, They don't give even a clue, Say I love you or hate you, Like a river washing through Thousands of bends can't subdue." The classic film and television work "Sheung Hoi Tan" has influenced generations of us. The power of heroes is infinite. R&G's people are ordinary, but we are not content with being ordinary; we aspire to greatness. We are not heroes, but we are full of heroism... R&G's Chairman and CEO Mr. Wu Jie passionately performed "Sheung Hoi Tan".
Dr. Li Shuqi, co-founder and Board Secretary of R&G, gracefully danced to the music of "Sheung Hoi Tan", expressing the pride and joy in our hearts and showcasing R&G's essence, spirit, and vigor.
The entire evening's performances were splendid and spectacular, with one climax after another. The stage was radiant, the atmosphere was lively, and applause and screaming echoed continuously. Under the leadership and enthusiastic participation of the executive team, over 80 employees from various subsidiaries and departments presented wonderful programs. The rich and diverse forms of performances included dances, song medleys, poetry recitations, harmonica solos, skits, crosstalk, runway shows, choruses, and more, showcasing the talent, wisdom, confidence, and cohesion of R&G's people. On this night, R&G's people fully enjoyed the joy brought by their hard work, expressing the feelings that have been in their hearts for many years. This was destined to be a brilliant night, an unforgettable night, a beautiful night, a night to be recorded in R&G's history!
The evening concluded amidst the melodious strains of "Tomorrow Will Be Better". Finally, Mr. Wang Wei, R&G's gold-medal host, delivered concluding remarks on behalf of the company: "R&G is a company with culture, a company with passion, a company with responsibility, a company with commitment, a company with warmth, a company with aspirations, a company with ideals. R&G's ideals are higher than the sky!"”
Today, we have put a perfect end to our 15 years of struggle. After weathering countless trials, we return still youthful. Going public is only a new starting point for R&G; our grand ambitions remain unfulfilled. We will set sail again.
