On April 3, 2024, under the guidance of the Party Committee of the Shenzhen Biomedical Industry Innovation Chain, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony for clinical trials (GCP) was successfully held at Shenzhen Second People's Hospital. The signing ceremony invited participants covering all parties involved in clinical trials. Mr. Wang Tao, Senior Vice President of R&G, attended the ceremony on behalf of the company, and together with the guests discussed how to accelerate medical scientific and technological innovation to promote the development of the domestic biomedical industry.

The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Yang Lei of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, with a welcome speech from Vice President Ren Lijie. Department heads actively participated, and multiple units including the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Pingshan District, and Shenzhen Bioindustry Alliance were invited to offer guidance.

In the meeting, experts and leaders were first invited to give speeches. Professor Xu Zhongyuan from Nanfang Hospital shared research experience in the biomedical field, pointing out that current clinical trials should focus on unmet clinical needs, guided by clinical direction in research and development, fully leveraging the strengths of all parties to jointly promote the progress of clinical trials. The head of the Second Division of Strategic Emerging Industries of the Development and Reform Commission of Shenzhen Municipality then conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation and future of Shenzhen's biomedical industry, emphasizing that medical institutions should implement the city's "20+8" industry cluster policies, and fully affirmed the important role of the hospital in promoting industrial innovation. Finally, Secretary Zheng Guobiao of the Party Committee of the Shenzhen Biomedical Industry Innovation Chain stated that this signing signifies a solid step forward for the hospital in clinical research. He also clarified that the focus of subsequent work should be on ensuring project implementation, adhering to a pragmatic spirit, truly transforming research results into practical treatment plans, and ultimately benefiting a wide range of patients.

After the speeches by experts and leaders, Vice President Ren Lijie provided a detailed introduction to the basic situation of our hospital from multiple aspects such as the current status and advantages of clinical trials. He also presented the achievements our hospital has made in past clinical research through multiple case studies, expressing that our hospital has always been committed to improving the level of clinical research and emphasizing strategic cooperation with major enterprises. In addition, Director Du Xin of the Department of Hematology also introduced the department's GCP establishment and achievements in translational research, sharing the Department of Hematology's experience in GCP project management and promotion.

Subsequently, representatives of various enterprises took turns to give introductions. Mr. Wang Tao, Senior Vice President of R&G, expressed that in the future, they are willing to maintain a long-term close cooperative relationship with Shenzhen Second People's Hospital under the background of clinical value-oriented pharmaceutical R&D, continuously empowering pharmaceutical innovation.

As of now, R&G has established strategic cooperation with numerous clinical research institutions nationwide, forming a cooperative network covering multiple fields and levels. In the future, R&G will continue to deepen these cooperative relationships, jointly exploring the forefront of pharmaceutical R&D with partners, continuously exploring innovative paths, and committed to promoting the development and implementation of innovative medical solutions, contributing to the development and breakthroughs in the pharmaceutical field.
